How This Calculator Works
Step 1 — Daily Production System kWp × peak sun hours = kWh your panels generate each day. Default 4 hrs is a conservative Philippine average (actual range: 3–5.5 hrs depending on location).
Step 2 & 3 — Monthly Value Daily kWh × 30 days = monthly production. Monthly kWh × your electricity rate = the peso value of electricity your solar system replaces each month.
Step 4 & 5 — Annual Savings Monthly savings rounded to the nearest ₱1,000 × 12 months = your annual savings estimate.
Step 6 — Payback Period System cost ÷ annual savings = years to fully recover your investment. After payback, all savings are pure gain for the remaining 20+ years of panel life.
